24 hour read-a-thon

I am just about to start the 24 hour read-a-thon and I wanted to post about it. The first book I will be reading is Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold. For the rest of the Read-a-thon members good luck and I hope you slept well last night.

Suggestions

I was at my Aunts today and I got a suggestion from my Uncle to read some of Mercedes Lackey's works, so I am wondering if anyone has suggestions for me to read first as an introduction to Lackey. I have ordered Heralds of Valdemar the first in The Harpor Series. I thank you for any and all suggestions.

In Our Hands

In Our Hands
The peace of the world
This is the question I ask
Is it in our hands
Is it in there hands
We could stop the war of this race
But could we stop the war of the animals
We may be useless but to ourselves
Is the peace of the world in our hands

The blood spilt

The day has always been a staple of the human race
The day it has no sun will be a day of peace and fun
The day when moon rules the world even for a moment
The day will be glorious and powerful as a day of only a day of the moon
The day will have power pulsing through like blood of all
The day will have no more blood to spill the night has washed us all.

Not in the Wright Frame of Mind

I have not posted in a very long time and I pity any one who has been checking to see if I have posted but you never found what you were checking for, but if you are still willing to check you will find something this time, but it's just telling you that I'm sorry and that I hope to be posting again soon.

impulse By Ellen Hoppkins

Conner:
failed to go six feet under, failed to get away, failed to the final home were everything is perfect and know hurt is done, into oblivion. Instead he gets to walk down the shining floors of Aspen springs and just gets to wait, wondering.
Tony:
is just all med's just the way he likes it crawling into that dark deep hole were nothing can get in not even his own feelings to bad he couldn't stay there a poor cop found him took him in to the ER stupid cop doesn't know when just leave some shit alone.
Vanessa:
can't get out of the blue until the hot Scarlet liquid gets out then the screaming voices stop if only her brother Bryan didn't come in then peace would be complete then she could finally get out of the blue but Brian screamed and grams came in she a great nurse to bad since she made it possible for her to go to the hospital.

All three of these people go to Aspen Springs mental hospital and become Friends and share what made them come to this place.
I have felt all these things before which makes me wonder if I should be in a Mental Hospital even though I haven't gone to the extreme, to bad know one would find me, know one cares.

Burned By Ellen Hopkins

Pattyn isn't that different from a lot of us. She was born into a Mormon family and when she turns around 13 she has that typical dream about a boy nothing unusual for her age. When no one will answer her questions she goes to find her own answers. When her father finds her in a none expected position things go completely out of control until she is sent to her aunts house because her father didn't want her. She was expecting to find sum one who is like her father but she finds something completely opposite. For the rest you will have to read the book witch I highly suggest Ellen Hopkins books make me want to just have a big chair that has all of her books around it and just read for the rest of my life (she reminded me of why I read).
